Wayne Lane, 74, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born August 4, 1943 in Monticello, to the late Cordis Lane and Phenton Chambers Lane
He was a retired building contractor, a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and was a Christian of the Baptist faith
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Shelby Joe Chambers and Rachel Lane; and three sisters, Carolyn Burton, Brenda Guillory and Joyce Ann Jerry
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra Brown Lane of Monticello; one son, Randy (Holly) Lane of Monticello; one daughter, Kristi Lane Prince of Monticello; one brother, Ray (Frances) Lane of Garrett Bridge; two sisters, Vada Lee (George) Boone of El Dorado and Carla (Don) Martin Don of Star City; one granddaughter, Courtney Prince of Monticello; two grandsons, Joshua (Megan) Prince and Hunter Lane both of Monticello; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends
Graveside service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Union Ridge Cemetery with military honors. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman.
