Authorities ask for help in identifying female

Update: According to Monticello Police Chief Eddy Deaton, the woman pictured here is also wanted for questioning in another car burglary and identity theft that occurred in Star City on Thursday.

The Monticello Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a female seen at Tuesday at the Monticello Walmart store.

"We are looking for a woman, believed to be black female, wearing a blonde wig, standing between 5'3" to 5'5" in height and weighing approximately  130-140 pounds," said MPD Chief Eddy Deaton. "We had two cars broken into late yesterday (Tuesday) where a purse and wallet were taken. Credit and debit cards from these stolen items were used at local businesses."

The woman is believed to be driving a small white car.

"It is also believed another theft occurred in the McGehee area and a stolen card was used at a retail location there," Deaton continued. "The same female there matches the person of interest here."

Investigators with the Monticello Police Department and the McGehee Police Department are working together to identify this woman.
