Binns brothers combine for 18 of DC's 25 points

Drew Central was overmatched most of the night, but made a push in the third quarter of Friday's Jr. Boys game. Lafayette County proved too much in the end, pulling away to win 41-25.

The Jr. Pirates cut the Lafayette County lead to 31-21 behind Jerrell Binns’ back-to-back 3-pointers at the 1:56 mark in the period.

Brother Jerald Binns tossed in a floater, then stole an inbounds pass and laid it in on the break to chip away at the Jr. Cougars’ lead with 3:34 left to play in the third quarter.

Drew Central tripled its first half offensive output after scratching out only seven points in the first two periods to trail 23-7 at halftime.

The Binns brothers cooled in the fourth quarter as Jerrell accounted for the Pirates’ only four points in the frame.

Jordan Johnson led Lafayette County with 14 points. Zadrien Wright accounted for eight of the Jr. Cougars' points.

The Binns brothers combined for 18 of the Jr. Pirates' 25 points.
