City will provide curbside pickup of limbs
The city of Monticello will be providing curbside pickup of limbs that fell during last week's high winds and tornado, according to Mayor Joe Rogers.
Residents are asked to reduce the length of the limbs to six feet, and the diameter to six inches, and to place the limbs in stacks, close to the curb.
Persons desiring pickup should then call the city at 367-3415 and provide the address where the limbs are stacked. Arrangements will be made for a pickup.
Rogers asked residents to be patient, noting that it may take some time for city crews to collect all the limbs as there was extensive damage in the area.
