20 Guardsmen mobilized for state active duty with Ark. Dept. of Health

Medics will serve in call center, assisting Arkansans who have COVID-19 questions

The Arkansas National Guard, by order of the Governor, is mobilizing 20 Army National Guard medics from the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to state active duty, Sunday, March 15, through Friday, March 20.

Arkansas National Guard has been requested by the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to provide medics to answer phone calls and return phone calls  that might be missed, due to call volume, in support of the Arkansas Department of Health's Emergency Operations Center. A needs assessment will be conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health Thursday, March 19, to determine if the soldiers will be needed further or if they can be released from state active duty.
