James Larry Swan

James Larry Swan, 77, of Monticello died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center. He was born December 7, 1941 in Drew County to the late George T. Swan and Edith Chambers Swan.

Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Newton Swan; and one brother, Gene Swan. 

Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Swan Merrett of Sherwood, Kim Swan Stafford of Bearden and Sandy Swan Riley of Crossett; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one uncle, Joe Mack (Jean) Chambers of Monticello; three aunts, Glenda (James) Henry of Plano, Texas, Jewel Hackett of Conway and Kathleen Padgett of Pine Bluff; two nephews, Johnny Swan of Virginia Beach, Va. and Chris Swan of Idaho; one niece, Gena Swan (Randy) Harmon of Benton; five stepchildren, Tammy (Buddy) Cater, Jeanie (Otis) Cater, Danny (Deanna) Simpson and Ray Nelson, all of Monticello, and Deanna (Michael) Bussey of Clinton; nine step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren from his deceased wife, Faye.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial was in Rash Cemetery.
