Louise Herring Donham, 91, of Pine Bluff passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. Born January 19, 1928 in Monticello, she was reared in the Montongo community in Drew County and graduated from Monticello High School. Her parents were the late Leslie Herring and Sallie Raines Herring.
Louise married James Edward Donham on August 14, 1948, and they moved to Pine Bluff in 1953. Mr. Donham predeceased her on January 5, 1996.
Also preceding her in death are a son, William Richard “Dicky” Donham; and three sisters, Christine Sims, Helen Jeffrey and Beth Buck.
Mrs. Donham was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school class and read her Bible every day. She had been a volunteer for the United Way and was a member of the “Strumming Seniors” ukulele band.
She will be remembered as a loving person who greeted everyone with a smile, enjoyed sewing and cooking Sunday dinner, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, James E. “Jim” (Joanett) Donham Jr. and Dale (Sheryl) Donham, both of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Welch, Natalie (Nyle Koonce) Donham, Brittany (Jacob) Downs, Kady Donham, Kristin Bass and William Donham; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Oliver and George Welch.
Louise’s funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel in Pine Bluff with Bros. Todd Howard and Garrett Fox officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home.
