Norma Jean Graves Wheeler
Norma Jean Graves Wheeler, 78, of Pine Bluff passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born July 19, 1940 in Drew County to the late Ira Homer Graves and Willie Emma Turner Graves.
She was a retired retail store manager and was a member of Green Meadow Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Doyel (Pete) Clampit, and one sister, Evelyn Faye Carpenter. She enjoyed shopping and was a full time caregiver for her disabled daughter, Carla.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Wheeler of Pine Bluff; four children, Greg (Betty) Clampit of White Hall, Karen Worthen and Carla Thurman, both of Pine Bluff, and Ricky (Tina) Thurman of Quitman; one brother, Wayne Graves of Hamburg; one sister, Willene Carpenter of Hamburg; two stepchildren, Donald Wheeler Jr. of Monticello and Angie Harris of Warren; six grandchildren, Christopher Clampit, Derek Hensley, Tiffany Worthen, Desi-Ray Thurman, Hunter Thurman and Ethan Thurman; two great-grandchildren, Lynnlei Reagan and Jullian Hensley; two step-grandchildren, Ethan Harris and Jonathan Harris; and one step great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial following in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to service time.
