Richard Keith Shafer
Richard Keith Shafer, 67, of Jonesboro, formerly of Monticello, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born June 8, 1952 in Douglas, Wyo. to Delois Smith Shafer Dilbeck and the late R.C. Shafer.
He was a United States Army Veteran and was, in addition to his father, also preceded in death by a sister, Morene Fisher.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Carter Shafer of Jonesboro; three daughters, Paula Shafer (Peter) Britain and Brandy Shafer (Stephen) Tolbert, both of Memphis, Tenn., and Amanda Shafer of Jonesboro; his mother, Delois Dilbeck of White Hall; one brother, Larry Joe (Karen) Shafer of Lawton, Ola.; one sister, Anita Shafer of White Hall; nine grandchildren, Angela, David, Ramzie, T.J., Jack, Claira, Madison, O’Neal and Carlee; three stepbrothers, Pat (Charlotte) Fisher of Monticello, Mike Fisher of Benton and Darrell (Melonie) Dilbeck of Tillar; four stepsisters, Eva Fisher Lewis of Carroll Stream, Ill., Teresa Dilbeck (Mark) McElroy of Rowher, Angie Dilbeck of White Hall and Tambra Dilbeck of Mississippi.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial following in Carter Cemetery in Ashley County.
