Stella Bullock Judkins
Stella Bullock Judkins, 88, of Monticello passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at her home. She was born June 16, 1930 in Dallas County to the late Lucious Samuel Bullock and Ida Hathcock Bullock.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, James Robert Judkins; and a sister, Sammye Edwards.
She was a retired school teacher, member of the Retired Teachers Association, past president of the Drew County Extension Homemakers Club and a member of the Drew Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Stella was a member of Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Churches Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, James Elmo Judkins of Monticello; one son, Tommy (Bettye) Judkins of Monticello; one daughter, Brenda (Raymond) Chisom of Monticello; five grandchildren, Pam (Billy) Barnett, Eric (Stephanie) Chisom, James (Leslie) Judkins, Daniel (Heidi) Judkins and Thomas Judkins; and 15 great-grandchildren, Corey, Kailey Raye, Brodey, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Lindsey, Whitney, Luke, Hezekiah, Moriah, Josiah, Judah, Micah, Boaz and Isaac.
Funeral services were Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Roper and Rev. James Judkins officiating. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation was Monday evening at the funeral home.
